Kind of late...I remember "bin" from Kitale, lost touch when he moved to the us. I wish I had seen him before he left us, I tried when I moved to the USA. We had fun in Kitale. RIP

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of my old friend John. We were very close friends while studying Chemistry at Oregon. He had a great sense of humor, a bright and creative mind, and was always an excellent study partner during midterms and finals. He always called me "mzee" which I gather means "old man". His stories of life in Kenya were great fun to hear. I lost track of him after graduation but recently have tried to reconnect with him. I'm in tears to learn that he is now gone. His...

After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories we have shared with John. This is what will keep him alive in our hearts and in our minds and he will continue to live on through us.
