Not sure what to say?

Miss your humor Uncle John you could always make me laugh. Bill

I will miss my bridge partner and friendship. So sorry for your loss. I wish I would have known sooner. Mary Etue

As the widow of Johns brother E.J.I have known And loved John since he was seven years old. As a little boy he was always talking and smiling. As a student at WMU he spent many hours with us. Again talking, smiling and yes eating too. He and E.J. Spent much time together seeing which one could out do the other with their Owens humor. We witnessed John and Fronie raise Keith and then John and Sandy do a great job with all seven of their children. They worked at it together, John, Fronie...

John was a pleasure to work with and always looked to the positive side of life. He became a good friend and mentor to me and I always appreciated his wit and wisdom.
Best wishes to his family (Beth) and hopefully you remember him with his great smile.

Uncle John spent a lot of time with us in Kalamazoo while he was at WMU. There is not enough space here to tell you how important he was to me. I can say this I was a teenager at that time going thru the usual teen woes. The things you don’t tell mom and dad I could tell Uncle John. He always listened and gave wise advice. He was a mentor. I will always remember him with love, respect & admiration. My condolences to the family and friends.

John, we will surely miss you. Haven't seen you since we quit Saturday breakfasts at Denny's and poker at our house when covid hit. Our love to Genevieve too, and all the rest of the family. Much love and condolences to all. Tom & Vicki McArthur

He also has a wife, Genevieve Owens of Jackson & many more step children, Grandchildren etc...

John was a good friend of mine. I had a lot of respect for him. He confided in me on different issues, and I had a lot of confidence in him. I will miss him. May he Rest In Peace.

We remember John as our very good neighbor many years ago on Adams Rd. Always a smile and good conversation. Many prayers to his family.
