Not sure what to say?

Jay Painter was a kind, intellligent man who will be missed by many of his friends in the Snider family. Ann and family, I am sorry for your loss of your beloved husband and life partner, father and grandfather. Was it really 52 years ago that you were married in Portland? I remember it fondly.

A well-remembered neighbor!

I met Dr. John Painter a year or so after I had returned from the Marines in Vietnam and he was working for the VA. He helped me greatly and I will always appreciate his thoughtful manner and counsel. Always had his pipe back then and had a wonderful family.

A kind person. Many good memories.

Dan & Emily lean on your friends for strength and always remember how much you are cared about. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

John helped me with a difficult period in my life. He had a good manner--while professional, he was sympathetic and helped direct and encourage me. That was about 30 years ago, and I still appreciate and benefit from his insights.

What an interesting, engaging, smart, wonderful man! Jay was invaluable to me during the dark days of my first wife's cancer and death in the early 1990'a, when our kids were ages 11 and 9. I hope he knew how grateful I was and am.

He helped a family member. We appreciate his services. Dr. Painter will be missed
