Not sure what to say?

Dr. Painter was my graduate advisor for my Master's degree back in the late 80s. He was easily one of the most impactful professors in both my undergrad & graduate years at TAMU. When I was in danger of academic probation, he came up with a solution. He said, "Well, you can either take the classes we outlined on your degree plan, and work your tail off to get the As that you need. . . OR you can take a 3-hour research credit from me, set up this new Sun Microsystems computer for our group,...

I thank you Dr. Painter for so many, many memories in your home and in your heart. You and Mrs. Painter were my second set of parents for a very long time. Larry and I will NEVER FORGET December 13th, 2005....the day we were blessed to adopt our children. There you ALL WERE there just like family welcoming us in to Embassy Suites in Austin (of all places) in shock and joy!!! Larry and I STILL talk about that ironic moment still to this day. GOD'S TIME, for sure. You rest high on that...

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you Joy, and your family. May time and prayer heal your grief and allow you to remember your late father with a smile.

John, You will be missed by so many. You were my friend for so many years through the good times and some of the not so good ones. God speed John. Charlie

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Dr. Painter.

So very sorry for your family's loss. I remember your dad and mother when they were worshippers at Aldersgate.

I always enjoyed hanging out at the Painter household with Dr. Painter and his wife. Many good memories with Mark Painter and other High School friends that were always welcome. I do remember him getting a ham radio going and explaining how that worked. He was a very smart and nice man who always took time to ask how everything was going when I would visit .

Condolences and Prayers too the Family May he Rest In Heavenly Peace
