Read MoreI started playing tennis with John back in 1992. I always enjoyed playing tennis with John and sitting around afterwards talking just about anything, but especially our shared interest of tennis and music. John was quite a character and I will miss playing tennis and the discussions with him very much.
My deepest condolences to John's mother, sister, family and friends.

I started working with John (JP as we called him) in 1967, when I began working at the Weapon Systems Laboratory of BRL. Our association continued for the next 30 years until he retired in May of 1997 from AMSAA. My wife Fran and I would occasionally meet JP in the Abingdon Library. Our most recent outing was having dinner with him at Bob Evans when he stopped by our house to see how I was doing after a serious fall and injury.

I am truly sorry to hear that John passed away. I was just thinking of calling him last week to see how he was. I should not have waited. We started work for the Army on the same day 43 years ago and worked many years together.
