Not sure what to say?

Mr. Passanisi was my sixth grade teacher at the Charles Logue School. He was the kindest, compassionate, and most inspirational teacher I have ever known. I was so fortunate to have been his student. My heartfelt condolences to his family on his passing.

I have just heard of my favorite teacher, Mr. Passanisi's passing
I was fortunate and blessed to be a student of his in the 6th grade at the Logue 1963-64 and will always remember the JFK shooting and his sadness and the importance of that day and that school year in all that he taught us in school and about life
I share his love of cats (have 4) and will name my next male cat after him (sure to be a very special guy!)
May this holiday season bring sweet memories that you...

Oh how I remember a gentle and kind teacher when I was so young. He left quite a memory in me never to be forgotten. It was so cool when my mom went shopping at the Purity Supreme on Columbia road and see my teacher with a white butchers robe on at the meat counter. Those were the days I remember so well

As I often do, I was searching the Internet for childhood memories and came across this memorial. Mr. Passanisi was not my 6th grade teacher, but his counterpart in that role at the Charles Logue School, Mr. Saldarini, was (academic year 1962-63). Although I was not one of his students, I remember Mr. Passanisi as a true gentleman and liked by his students. He was part of a quality of American education that, sadly, is no more. I think much of what is wrong in public school education today...

To the Passianisi Family: I got to know John through the 70th Div. Association. John and my father Russell Andersen served together during WW II. We exchanged letters and I only had really begun to know him over the last 2 years. His passing was a shock for me, as he had just written on December 28. Please accept our sincere sorrow at his passing my family will miss him very much..

To the Passianisi Family,
Mr. Passanisi was my Principal at the Charles Logue School in Mattpan in 1968 when I was in 6th grade. He was a true gentle man and was somewhat instrumental in my going on to teach. I wish I saw him years later, as my father was his mailman. From all of the stories I have read about him, I know that I missed alot as an adult, when I was a 6th grader, who knew, we didn't appreciate what we had. He was, if I recall one of 4 males teachers/administrators at the...

Dear Michael, Rosemary and Family,
I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved father. He was such a kind, intelligent man. He was my 6th grade teacher 50 years ago and it was an honor and privilege to be his student. These past few years meeting him for lunch, talking to him, listening to him will remain in my memories always. He is at rest with his beloved Josephine.
