Not sure what to say?

Its early morning here in Florida and I just received the news from Joe Ford of John's passing. I like all of you cannot believe John is gone. Over the years, I have shared adventures of growing up in Paulsboro with my wife, family and friends and many of those stories included John Patten. These included being altar boys, boy scouts in Troop 75, classmates at St John's grammar school, PHS classmates, team mates and even members of the band. We all knew John's hard work ethic and dedication...

All our thoughts and prayers to a great team mate and friend also a student of my moms.

I was so sorry to hear about John. We were neighbors during the grammar school years and played together until we moved to Gibbstown. We were reconnected in high school. He was a smart guy and very fun to be with. My sincere sympathy goes out to his family.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

Kathy,

Bob and I were saddened to hear that John passed away. We have fond memories of him way back in Maplewood and then when you moved to Mendham. He was a good man and will be missed.

Only a few minutes ago I learned of John's passing. I can't believe it. We have communicated, mainly electronically, for many years, and, as recently as 3 weeks ago. He didn't say anything about being ill. I had no idea. He was a good friend. We played sports together growing up, and my mother took us to get our drivers licenses. He was a good man who will be greatly missed. My sympathy to Kathy and the family .

So sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a great guy. My sympathy to the family.

To the family of John Patten -

I am sorely grieved to learn of John's death. All of us were in grade/high school with the family and my brother, Carmel Morina, was a friend to John. I can remember them hanging around just being boys. My brother had a very high regard for John.
Know that you all have our heartfelt
sympathy.
