John R. Patterson

PATTERSON, John R. - Of Davison, age 64, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Genesys Hospice Care Center. John was born in Flint on February 8, 1946, son of the late Stanley and Margaret (Goodrich) Patterson. On August 31, 1965, he married Toni Hodson in Davison. John was employed with General Motors, retiring from Buick City in 2000 and was a active member of UAW Local #599. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing, gardening, and boating in the Great Lakes. John also enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are wife, Toni; daughter, Jodi (Marc) Reinhardt; son, Jimmy Patterson; three grandchildren, McKenzie, Sara and Macy; brothers and sisters, Stan (Mary) Patterson, Bruce (Kristy) Patterson, Bob (Gloria) Ex and Linda (Tom) Sukup; many nieces, nephews and cat named Kitty.
