I am so sorry to hear of John's death. I was privileged to be his pastor for a number of years and have him as a good frined.

Johnny Payne is a man I will deeply miss for the rest of my life. He always made the time to make sure the kids of Cherry Acres needs were taken care of. Johnny Payne was much more than just a neighbor to me growing up in Cherry Acres. He was infact my father when my real dad was offshore fishing for a living. Johnny taught me much about life and about how to be not just a man but how to be a good man.
