I had the extreme honor of being one of his patients from 1991 until his retirement in 2014. He was an OUTSTANDING Psychiatrist. He was an "old school" Psychiatrist who had a 50 minute session -- unlike the current situation where it's 20 minutes.

Dr Payne changed my life! I first came to him for ADD treatment in 1999. And he was my physician until his retirement. I cried the day he told me he was retiring. Felt like I had lost a family member. He was so wise! I had attempted to write him a thank you letter in the Spring of 2021 to his office in McLean. The letter was returned.
