Miranda, Tom & the entire Peabody family:

I was truly saddened to hear about John's death. John always had an encouraging word for me both as a kid and as an adult when I would run into him in town. I have great memories of him from my years playing soccer at Wheeler. He had the perfect disposition for working with kids. I can still hear him saying "Gentlemen" when he wanted to get our attention on the field.

I am sorry for your loss. I know he leaves a big hole in your...

John was a very thoughtful and caring man. Everyone that knew him loved him, he will live on in our hearts.
Condolence to the family.

RIP my friend

My condolences to your family. He was a kind man and a good friend of my late husband, Jimmy. We took John to Dover to the Nascar race, what great memories we made!

John Bod, the personification of Wheeler High spirit. Always there as a friend and team mate, never giving up when the chips were down. One of Wheelers soccer legends in the back field. You were there John when it all started off with Tommy Hurd. We played our hearts out, and you were there to encourage us as we played in that low golden light that use to paint the field on those autumn days so long ago… but wasn't it really only just yesterday… What a joy to meet up with you just a few years...

To the family of John, So sorry for your loss. The world lost a wonderful person, father, grandfather, brother and friend. My best memories of North Stonington are of John, and his fellow classmates at North Stonington Elementary...what a way to start a teaching career (and of course the used Camaro)...Heartfelt condolences, blessings and peace to all of you.
