I worked at Larry Mahan Boot Collection in the early 80s. John was a very special and talented person. God bless him and his family. We shared the same birthrate. RIP john.

I recently found out about Johns passing and was saddened to read the news. I wish to express my sympathy to the family he leaves behind. It has been years since I have seen John but we worked together In El Paso with the Hyer Boot Company and Larry Mahan outlet stores. I remember his energy and wild style that he made look good. We had a lot of laughs & good times back then and those days are some of my fondest memories. He will be both remembered and missed.

I will defentily miss the energy Mr. Pearce brought to the marina when he would come for the weekend. He always treated everyone like he had known them for years and I believe he never met a stranger. You could tell when he was on the boat and on the ocean he truly enjoyed himself. Everyone will be in my prayers through this difficult time. God Bless.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the family of Mr. Pearce. I was fortunate to be a participant in the 2009 Calf Scramble and caught my first calf. I appreciate the dedication and passion that Mr. Pearce had for this program. Thanks to him he has opened up many doors of opportunity for many kids like me. He will be truly missed. God Bless, Taylor Conti (Leonard, TX)

Dear Kate, Patsy and Pearce family, John and I went to grade school together at St Monica first thru fifth grade. Later I reconnected with John in the mid 70's - 80's thru the Western Boot Industry. My heart goes out to all of his family and extended family of friends, as there were many. I remember when Kate was born...we could not wait for her arrival to outfit her. She was "Baby Kate" as John, Dottie and all of us called her. She was his "Biggest Blessing" at the time.

Dear Rebecca & Family, We send our most heartfelt sympathy to all of you. We have known Johnny since I was involved with Justin Boots in the '70s. We found Johnny to be the most energetic person we ever met. He was creative, personable, most unique and a great friend. We will miss his infectious laugh and his friendship. We have decided that God needed some new and uniquely designed Boots and He called John home to help Him out...We will be watching for those Boots & remembering you,...

Our most sincere sympathy to you, Rebecca and your family. John was at Justin when I was asked to represent Justin in some media ads...Meeting you was definitely a plus for Betty and I. Above all, you were always the same--- friendly, creative,fun-loving person who never forgot his friends. John will be so missed by all whose lives he touched. We have decided that God needed some new and "heavenly" designed boots, and He called the best to do the job. We will be looking for those Boots...
