Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the family, I was quite saddened to hear of the death of Dr.Peirce, I was under his care from approx.1966-82 when he cured me of Lipiod Nephorosis which is a childhood disease even though I was in my teens thru my late twenties, Dr. Peirce was the best Doctor I've ever had,I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, he was a great Doctor to anyone needing his services.

Jack Peirce MD was my mentor in this at Michigan. This guy born in the 1930´s kept on making fun of us using math of the 20th century for 21st century medicine. Jack had an MS in non-linear math along with being an internist. In the 1970´s he also held multidisciplinary meetings on his private-practice dialysis unit in Grand Rapids and met with some of the pioneers in PM&R to figure out how to do this. He was my neighbor in Ann Arbor. We met monthly for years as he taught me how medicine...

His leadership through the tremendous policy and technological changes of that era was key to so many patients receiving what was known as "as second chance at life." His genial nature and generosity with his time was exactly why his patients loved and trusted him. Respected by colleagues and staff...

Dear Jean, I am sending condolences to you and your family and hope to reconnect with you after all these years.with Love and sympathy,Twink

Jack was a good friend and colleague. He should be remembered as the Father of the Dialysis and Renal Transplant programs for West Michigan which have been so successful in the treatment of chronic and renal failure. It was a privilege to be associated with these programs. James K. Watkins M.D.

Dr. Pierce was my dad´s doctor (Robert Veldhouse) in the kidney unit at St. Mary´s back in the 60´s. I have a newspaper article stating that my Dad was the first person to be on the kidney machine at St. Mary´s. Dr. Pierce also taught my Mom how to run the kidney machine at our home. He was a great and compassionate doctor. Even though I was a child at the time, I will always remember Dr. Pierce as being a big part of our lives. Sandra Veldhouse Winchester
