To the family of John Penich i was with him at ft. hood and talked about bikes i did not get to deploy with him because i PCS not on my wishes but the army could not provide for my family at ft. hood. even though i was only with him for a short time i could tell he was a great man and leader there is not a day that goes by that i dont think of him or the other men that gave their lives for our country on that tour to the valley i only wish that icould have gone to fight next to him. I saw the story about John on "The Tip of the Spear" documentary.
