Not sure what to say?

Dr. Penner famously said: "The job of the laboratory is to provide answers, not numbers." It is a code that I live by professionally. T. Kennedy, MD, CHM 1988 Pathology

Still think about his kindness and empathy for my mom. God bless him.

Never will forget his care of my mom Anna. I had 11 more wonderful years with her. She had CLL and he helped keep her in remission.

Dr. Penner was the most kind-hearted, generous and funny person. I met him 6 years ago when I was in the hospital after my stoke. I was young (23 years old) and he was so sweet to a very scared girl whose world had just been turned upside down. He would come in every day I was in rehab often times with a cartoon he cut out of the paper for me. I saw him for years afterwards and when his office called and said he was on permanent leave and that I would need to find a different doctor I was...

Dr Penner was kind enough to see my father when he was sick and also saw me when it was needed. Kind hearted and made you feel like you were his only patient. I was looking him up to see if he was still practicing so that he could possibly look at some issues with my husband and that is when I saw that he passed away in July. My sympathy goes to his family and I know that they have to be proud of the man that he was

Dr Penner as I said before he has been an amazing person in my life when my brother Andy was fighting Lukiemia he stopped in to look not even his patient. But great man Saralee butter strudel
I'll never forget. Thanks

I will always Remember Dr. Penner ...... We talked, often, in the hallways of Sparrow ..... usually outside a patients room at some early or late time of the day ... or on a holiday ....... we had many nice chats ...... He knew i would be there for his patients and I knew, that if i needed anything, That he was just a phone call away. Sincerely, Roger Young ... Former Apheresis Specialist at Sparrow.

It was a great honor to have known Dr. Penner. He was an excellent physician and a kind and generous man. He provided great service to the US House of Representatives and the US Department of Health and Human Services as the federal government worked to assure the safety and availability of the nation's blood supply. I am grateful to have know and worked with John Penner.
