Not sure what to say?

In times like this God knows best, but everyone in the parish will miss you greatly. You were a wonderful spiritual leader of the community and were always there for everyone. You are now sitting in Heaven looking down on everyone and still watching over the parish. Rest in peace

So saddened by your death, you confirmed me into St johns. I have been praying for your recovery, but God knows best. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. I know you are in the bosom of the lord. We love you, but God loves you more.

I remember Msgr. John when I was a seminarian at Mt. St. Mary's in Emmitsburg. He was a very kind and friendly person. May he rest in the arms of Jesus and may his family find peace and comfort in the God's Love.

I studied with John at Mt. St. Mary's Seminary. I add my prayers for him and for the consolation of his family...

A great man and leader, I am so saddeded to hear of your passing. You got me back into the church, married my wife and I and Baptized my daughter. You were not only my Priest, you were my friend and spiritual leader and our agency Chaplin. Thank You for bringing me back to God. I know you are with God and at peace but it still hurts to know I will have to wait to until I join you to see you again. Thank You for being there for my family and me and showing us the path back to God. Rest...

R.I.P.

My prayers are with your family. You have earned your reward in heaven here on earth. I still remember how badly you beat me at racquetball. Reserve a court for us. Rest in peace my friend.

I was saddened to learn of John's death while attending Mass with my Father at Asbury Nursing Home on Sunday. I was John's classmate at St. Pius X Seminary in the early 1970s and still recall fond memories of my time with him - a more loving and helping soul you will not meet. I'll ask John to say hello to my first wife, Molly and two unborn children, and will request his prayers for my family and me as we continue our journey through life.
May God hold you in his hands, my friend -...

You will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for baptizing me a few years back and marrying me to my wife Bethany in June. We're among the many who mourn your passing and welcome you home.
