John Peterson

I only just learned of John's death in May of 2024. John and I worked together at the local Stan's Sooper grocery store in Athol where we became close friends and created many lasting memories. We both graduated together from Athol High School in 1964, and remained good friends despite only seeing each other at class reunions. I cherish those memories of the good times we shared. John was a newspaperman's newspaperman, a terrific editor and teacher and a great guy. I worked for him at The Bulletin in the mid-70s, and he was one of a kind. Sincere condolences to his family.

I worked with (and for) John at The Bulletin from 1973 to 1976. He was an understanding guy and a great boss. Rest in peace, John.

I´m so sorry to learn of his passing. I met John when he was a consultant at The Day. He was a great guy and a kind soul. We jokingly called each other cousin. -Kris Peterson Nickerson
