To the entire Petrus family, John Petrus was one of my favorite teachers when I was a student at Walsh Jesuit. He was an amazingly patient and caring person, and I learned a lot from him. When I became a teacher myself, I used John as a role model for how to treat my own students. He will be missed, and I am sorry for your loss.

Aww I'm so sorry to see this! My grandma Eva was your neighbor for decades and he was the sweetest guy! He loved dogs just like Grandma does... Rest in heaven John. Love Alexis

For the family, may God provide strength and comfort in the days to come.

Mr. Petrus (as we knew him as Walsh) was a marvelous math teacher, as well as a kind and helpful guy. My condolences to his family.

Sending my deepest condolences to the family. John was an amazing man, so kind and caring. I am glad I had the pleasure to meet him.

To the family, My condolences, and you will all be in my prayers. May you have nothing but wonderful memories of John.

The Petrus Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless, Steve Grescovich

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
