Not sure what to say?

Thank you, Mr. Petruska, for giving me my first break as an artist, by hiring me to paint portraits of all the Mayors of Parma, when I was fresh out of art school. It was a golden opportunity for a 19 year-old to get started. I miss your wife, too, who used to take lessons in my art classes and tell me about her life in England during the Blitz.. I truly thought you would live on forever.........

I remember Mayor Petruska from the early 60's. He hired my Dad, Capt. Evor S.Kerr Jr USCG (ret), to be his safety Director. Went to many a City Council meetings and watch the two of them take on all comers! A Great Man, a true friend. RIP Mayor Petruska

Rest in Peace Jack.

To the Petruska Family,
Please accept my condolences on your loss. May fond memories of John comfort you; and God help your family during this difficult time. Isa.41:13

Anyone who was lucky enough to live in Parma during the years when Mayor Petruska was Mayor, knew that these truly were such special times to grow up
in an environment of the American Dream - the white picket fence, safe neighborhoods, great neighbors and when kids could be kids and didn't have to be helicoptered.
Thank you Mayor Petruska for all of your faithful years, guidance and leadership! Rest in Peace.

Keeping you, your family and friends in prayer.

God Bless,
A...

Mayor Petruska, You were the very best of the best. It was the best of times in Parma when you were there. You protected everyone and will never be forgotten.

So many condolences to your family and loved ones. RIP Mr.Mayor.

The Barnett family

The family is extremely grateful for the generous show of support, prayer, and well wishes. My grandfather gave much of himself to the city of Parma and I know he would be honored by the outpouring of support for his family during this difficult time. In his 95 years, he lived a magnificent life, but the loss was sudden and has been very difficult. We honored his wishes by keeping his memorial very private and his passing quiet. We thank you for the support and know that he's smiling proudly...

My prayers for his family at a difficult time. I appreciate his military service and dedication to the City of Parma. May John rest in peace.
