John Piazza

I worked for John in the late 70's at the Wheeling Park District. I was 19 years old and as I guess I thought he was in his late 30's. As it turns out, he was only 27. John was a quiet no nonsense boss and a guy that commanded respect. He was also a kind and respectful guy that I grew very close to.

I remember him challenging me to a game of one on one in the WPD gym. I was in the prime of my life and again at the time thought John was in his late 30's and not a very big guy....

I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. Know that my thoughts are with you. Stay strong and know you many friends. I too am a widow and having people around me was a great source of comfort.

Strong, courageous, dignity, loving, supportive, loyal, tough, warm hearted, integrity. These are just some of the words to describe wonderful John. My heart is broken with John's passing and my love and support goes to the great, great Piazza Family. What an incredible family. John will be so missed. Love, Ronna
