PITTENGER, JOHN

Of Swartz Creek, MI age 57, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 in Michigan.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

John was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 24, 1966, the son of Rodney and Patricia Pittenger. On June 17, 1995, he married Andrea Pittenger in Owosso MI.

John loved everything! But on the top of his list would be Family and Friends, Michigan sports teams (and any team playing Ohio State), animals, and Sudoku! John loved new experiences, and also loved the classics including his mom's homemade spaghetti sauce, Reese's, Chocolate Ice Cream, and Mt. Dew! John was a Die Setter at both Chrysler and Challenge Manufacturing.

Even though John's journey ended too early, he would like to thank all of his family, friends, and coworkers for being a part of his story!

Surviving John are his 3 children, Seth Pittenger, Travis Burget, and Lauren Burget.

His siblings, Teri and John Mason, Mike and Christy Pittenger, Scott and Anna Pittenger and

many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews!

and his beloved pets Buffy, Roger, and Barn Cat.

John was preceded in death by his Dad, Rodney Pittenger, Mom, Pat Pittenger, and Wife, Andrea Pittenger.

Not sure what to say?

As neighbors go you were on the top of the list. Always ready to lend a helping hand to get my TO-DO LIST done. And it usually was pretty lengthy. Thank you & Seth for being my go to guys when we were neighbors. R.I.P.

We at Challenge Mfg are so sorry for the family's loss. John was incredibly well liked and such a nice man. He will be missed here.

So incredibly sorry for your loss. Sending an abundance of prayers and thoughts to you and your family.

I worked with John way back in 1989 at oil chem. Recently started working together again at challenge mfg.
