Not sure what to say?

So very sorry for the loss of a Master Shipbuilder and a long time friend and associate. I have shared many years and many experiences with John. Very Respectfully, Dave and Barbara Barringer (X42/053 Retired). Thanx for all the good memories.

My sincere sympathy to your entire family in the loss of John! Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time!

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to John's family. I met John when I was working at the NNS shipyard for Electric Boat on the Ford Class Carrier design. John was a pleasure to work with and I soon gained the upmost respect for his shipbuilding knowledge and how he could apply it to the design and share it with those new to the shipbuilding industry. Those that have worked with John will always remember him , as he left a lasting image, as a extraordinary individual and...

I worked closely for so many years with John Plaster's daughter, Debbie and husband Bob at NNS in the Quality Inspection Department. We were the best of friends. I did not know John Plaster personally, but knowing Debbie and family, he had to be the greatest DAD. This is just wishing the sincerest condolences to the family for their loss.

Our condolences to Mirean and family. John will be missed by all who knew him. When I think of all the great "Man of War" ships that NNS has produced I think of John's dedication and love to make the best vessels for our Navy! John poured his heart and soul into the construction of these. Quality and common sense was his stamp for the NNS. John loved GOD and God has made a special mansion for him.

My deepest sympathies to John's family. I will always remember Mr John Plaster. I started at the shipyard as a young engineer on the CVN 21 program over 15 years ago. Of the many seasoned shipbuilders I worked with John will always stand out. I loved his practical advice and desire to tell you how it is. And under that gruff exterior I could see the kind, good heart. When I think of John, a smile comes to my face. I think that would make him happy!

My deepest sympathy to the family! John and I pre-commissioned the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON together. He left a lasting impact on my career in the Navy. He was the most pro-active shipyard worker I had ever seen who assisted the Sailors and included them in the shipbuilding process. I believe God needed a gentleman right now!

John Plaster was one of the nicest men that I have ever known. My husband Tom and I went to church with him and wife Mirean. To his family I am so sorry that he had to leave you all for now. I ask God that he will give you all the Peace and comfort during this time. Mirean I know you will miss him the most and God be with you every step of the way while adjusting to life without him for now. Love and Prayers , Brenda Hudgins.

John is my first cousin thought a lot of him so sorry to hear of his passing. Sorry we can't attend but our prayers will be with you all.
