Not sure what to say?

Niko and Justin.. We were so very sorry to hear about your father's passing. He was such a great man and such a huge inspiration to all.. Please know that you are all in our prayers.. Thane and Caitlin Economou/Tulsa, OK

You will always be in my memories, because every memory of you was a good one. I will never forget the late late talks you would have with all of us kids. Looking back it was worth every second.

Sometime in a person's life a priest makes a connection with them, to me you were that priest. Thank you.

How can I put into words the many fond memories and enriching experiences that Fr. John brought into my life? Gentle, caring, compassionate, and stern; even these words do little to describe how he touched so many EOYC campers. From Counselor/Senior softball games to confession, his sincere smile will forever be etched in my memory. EONIA I MNIMI

Niko, Justin, I am sorry for the loss that has beset you. There is so much for me to say, but I know that those words cannot change anything. I wish I could have been there to support you, should you EVER EVER need to talk feel free to call me at anytime, I love both of you,
Kenny

Matushka,
Af, I am so sad to hear about Father John.
As we spoke today- he was a mentor when I converted to Orthodoxy and more importantly my FRIEND.
The times we had together redoing the parish house and me as an Accoylite(spelling?)I loved my reconnection with my heritage!!!!!
More importantly Father John and I become true friends as well as you!!!!! Thank you for taking me into your FAMILY!!!!!!

I shared a couple of stories today- but you know...

Father John, It is difficult to put into words how you have enriched my life. You challenged me to become a better Orthodox Christian through our affiliation at the EOYC. You taught me how to be non-judgemental, how to see positive in everyone, how to have patience and how to put God first, others second and myself last. My memories of EOYC will be the fondest I have of our time together. You are the embodiment of that camp.
Recently, I have had the pleasure of attending your parish....

Dear members of Father Platko's family and Holy Trinity Orthodox members and friends:

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Father Platko. Although I realize it is a very sad moment in the history of your church, I am relieved to know that Father is with his Heavenly Father whom he served so faithfully for so many years.

I have enjoyed writing about activities at Holy Trinity during my tenure as a staff writer at the Johnson County Sun and now at...

Memory Eternal
Father John, mere words are inadequate to express the great privilige it was to have my life touched by you. Our wonderful times at EOYC were indeed a gift, for it was there that my love and understanding of Orthodoxy truly began to unfold. I had the opportunity to truly feel in my heart what being an Orthodox Christian meant. The unconditional love you showed to everyone you knew, was without a doubt, the hallmark of your personality. Your gentle honest way, your...
