Not sure what to say?

I miss John every day, I cry because I never thought we should ever be without each other he was my very best friend and I miss him more than you will ever know, may God be with you John you will always be missed by me and always thought about, you will never be forgotten

I was one of John's track mates at Chapel Hill High. We romped long distances throughout the streets and trails of Chapel Hill. Always John was leading the pack and quietly encouraging.

My sincerest condolences to June and the Poe family. You, and John, are shining examples of selfless contributions for the advancement of mental health treatment.

My sincere condolences on your loss. John and I were neighbors for seven ears. He was indeed a quiet, gentle soul and he will be missed.

My condolences to the entire Poe family. I have enjoyed being your neighbor and will miss you very much as we were great friends.

Prayers for John and the family. I knew John in high school as I was on the swim team as well. Fine young man.

Condolences to the entire Poe family. Spent time as a teen on several occasions in their home on Elliot in Chapel Hill, many times with Jim Waddell(RIP)and Mike and David Sanford. I am known best to the family as a friend of brother Tom. Signed with love, to entire family, and also with thoughts from the Waddell family.... Jim "Goose" Waters, Troop 835, CHHS'72

Condolences to Nancy and all her family. What a lovely obituary, one of the nicest I've ever read. It was clearly a tribute to a life well-led with many triumphs over adversity. I am so sorry for your loss.
