Not sure what to say?

The news of John's passing brings back some good memories of our High School days: from "cruising" around Deerfield, watching his great basketball skills to playing together on our softball team "Hooker's Nook". My thoughts and prayers to the Polick family.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I will always remember his huge smile, laughter, basketball and that blue car of his....what was that car anyways? A javelin? He was so cool driving around the high school! Fond memories, may he rest in peace.

I am so very sad to hear of John's passing. I have many fond memories of John from our high school years at DHS. My thoughts are with Jim and the rest of John's family. God bless.

We are so sorry to hear the sad news of John's passing. We knew John and Jim from high school. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I'm really sorry to hear about John, our thoughts and prayers go out to Jim and Mary for losing a brother, and for his family and especially the kids for losing a dad.

I have some great memories playing with John, sweetest looking jump shot ever. Hanging the net around his neck after the Libertyville Regional and seeing that great big smile of his, it's a memory I'll never forget.

May he rest in peace now.

We met John at NIU and just a few years ago, reconnected with him. He was always great fun and that deep voice and contagious laugh will be greatly missed. He left us too soon, but he left a beautiful legacy, in his 4 precious daughters. God is waiting with open arms John. Love, Jack & Jayne

I am truley saddened by the loss of John, who was one of the friends I had in High School I wish I had kept in contact with regardless of distance. His warm heart and love for life showed by the smiles and laughter I will always remember anytime I was with him. I will always remember him and the sounds of his voice and laughter when we were together. Today I pray for him and his family and friends.

was truly saddened by the news of John's death. I knew him since grade school and have some very fond memories. My thoughts are with his family.

This is so difficult. I knew John during high school and was fortunate enough to keep in touch with him (through my brother) for many years. I will always remember John's smile, laugh and his kind and caring manner with my children. John, you left us too soon, God Bless You.
