Not sure what to say?

Margie and family and Barbara Polakovic, love and prayers. Hopefully time is easing some of the pain. Bill & Marie.

Mr. Porambo taught me how to write my first research paper, old-school, and my class with him junior year at PHS was the beginning of my own career as a high school English teacher. He definitely was tough and had high expectations of his students, but I'm grateful that we were challenged to rise to our best selves. Mr. Porambo--and Moby Dick (I can still picture that classroom mural in my mind)--will always have a spot in my heart!
My sincere condolences to his family.

Mr. Porambo was my favorite teacher at Parkland (PHS class of 1997). I was fortunate enough to have him as my English teacher for his 2 final years of teaching before retirement. He was tough and held high expectations for the students. Nobody wanted to be on the receiving end of his nub finger in class, but we all knew he cared about us. He was a major factor in my decision to become a teacher. My condolences go out to his family.

Condolences to the Porambo family. One of my favorite teachers at Parkland (class of 85).

There was no opportunity to put "former" in front of the word "student" (PHS Class of 1979) about how I knew Mr. Porambo. He was one of those teachers former students always remember because of the impact he had on our lives. Mr. Porambo was among my favorite English teachers, especially on those occasions he was strict (or at least what a teenager might consider strict) and would drive home the importance of taking our reading and writing seriously. I'm sure he was among the most important...

Marge and Family, I was so sad to hear about Jack’s passing. I have been his Barber for years and kinda got to know the whole family. You know that was Jack’s pride and joy. I always loved hearing his stories of your holiday’s and vacations. I never really talked much, I mostly, usually listened. I know what a happy man he was!
To Jack...... I am happy I had the pleasure of knowing you and to that........ I thank you kindly!

Margie and family, saddened to learn of John’s passing. Heartfelt condolences. Bill and MARIE.

Very sorry to hear this, Mr. Porambo was one of my favorite teachers at PHS. Peace and comfort to his family.
