JOHN J. POWERS Jr.

John and Charles "dooty" were my two best friends growing up on Bremen St in East Boston. We all lost touch as we went to college. I found John's obituary by accident doing an on line people search. I wish we had re-connected . My condolences to his family and friends.

Dale and Family,I came to this notice late and am very sad to hear of John's passing. We sat together and chatted at our 45th(?) BLS reunion, and I recall that John still had his zeal for his Boston Bruins.I always remembered him as a gentle and decent young man, and I'm sure that he was a wonderful partner. Thinking back and remembering all the good times we had growing up together. Your Mom & Dad would have parties and we were always invited. Great times were had by all. Thanks for the memories. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

I spent my early teenage years playing tag football, half ball and latter golf with John and Charlie, they were a big part of my growing up in East Boston. Their Mom and Dad were unfailingly kind to me. I haven't seen them in over 50 years but they form a large part of my cherished memories of life on Bremen St. Rest In Peace.
