Not sure what to say?

I worked for Georgia Pacific in Portland. I remember John ordering frozen yogurts on occasion for some of the employees on occasion.

John was a great Boss, friend, advisor, ski buddy and life role model.
I will miss him greatly.

John was a wonderful man to work for. I was his secretary at GP. He taught me so much during that time. He helped me progress to a higher position. I have so many stories of how great he was and what he did along the way. Great loss to all that knew him. Diane

Worked in John's department at GP for many years. John was a great boss and always a gentleman, treated his employees fairly. I have many good memories of him. My condolences to the family.

To Dean and Jeff and families,

I am sorry for your loss. Your dad was a giant of a man in my eyes and always will be. Your LO home was always a welcome place. So many fond and fun memories. At his urging in 1979, I went to work at GP. (He for sure hand walked my lame resume into the HR office). I truly admired and loved your dad. It was a true pleasure to take care of John over his last 5+ years of life. He and his family became like extended family. He's loved and missed.

It has been my honor to know and work for John for many years. I consider him a 'mentor" as well as a good friend. John was extremely kind, compassionate and generous. A TRUE gentleman. I am missing him very much and will continue to do so. Blessings of Peace to the Family!

Enjoyed John’s friendship and mentorship for over 40 years. He was an absolute gentleman and true inspiration. AND what a beautiful golf swing he had for all those years. It was my pleasure and honor to have known him all these years. Brad Gillespie
