I am very honored to have known John and Idaho Purce and the family while living in Pocatello. I remember one weekend afternoon sitting on the back porch with Mr. Purce just relaxing and talking, what a very nice and peaceful man he was. He will be missed but his memory will live on through his family and friends.
All my love and condolences to Mrs. Purce and the Purce family.

RIP Mr. Purce. I always felt welcome in Idahos' and your house when there and you never failed to give a positive comment. Most of which I did not understand until much later.

He was a good, decent man who led an exemplary life in spite of the fierce discrimination he suffered as a young black man. He was a friend and mentor to many in our community, all of us alike.
