I am very honored to have known John and Idaho Purce and the family while living in Pocatello. I remember one weekend afternoon sitting on the back porch with Mr. Purce just relaxing and talking, what a very nice and peaceful man he was. He will be missed but his memory will live on through his family and friends.

He was a good, decent man who led an exemplary life in spite of the fierce discrimination he suffered as a young black man. He was a friend and mentor to many in our community, all of us alike.
