Not sure what to say?

To Tom,David & Brother George & family. Our prayers & condolences are with you.We did not get to the services due to just getting home from a trip. Jack had kept in touch now & then and we talked of the Scheuren families of old. He and a couple of you folks attended some of the annual Scheuren reunions to reacquaint with this side of his family. We will all miss him. He is certainly now with John Jr. We live very near most of you so you are always welcome to stop in or call at any time....

John Joseph "Jack" Rakocy

John Joseph "Jack" Rakocy was a true gentleman, one of the old school and a fantastic friend. We were lucky enough to have met him through mutual friends and we maintained our love and friendship across the Atlantic Ocean for many years. He was a fantastic visitor and guest. He truly loved "HIS" City of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He had many friends here and in Scotland. He taught us many things about the USA, how to follow traffic on the "wrong side of the road, with the steering...

I'm sorry to hear about my Cousin's passing. I have been out of touch with the Rakocy family for a number of years. But I have not forgot my many visits to his Mom and Dad's (Aunt Millie and Uncle Tom's)house for lively conversation wth Jack and his family or the times at the Mannechor for a beer. I hope your at a peaceful rest Jack and my condolences to Tom,David and family.

Jack's passing was a tremendous shock to all of us - we are definately struggling with the loss of this great man...Jack had an awesome sense of humor, a quick wit (total prankster) and a huge heart. He was always there when we needed him -- he looked after everyone. But most of all, he was a devoted father & grandfather...anyone that knew him, knew that his grandchildren were his life. He encouraged them in every endeavor & was proud of all of them. Our hearts are heavy with grief at this...

Dearest Rackocy Family,
I am very saddened to hear of Jack's {as I knew him} death. We had a lot of good times together in our younger day's. I met my husband through Jack and I am so greatful. You are all in my prayers. God bless you all.

I have many fond memories of time spent at the Rakocy home as a kid and young man. Mr. Rakocy always welcomed me into his family’s home with open arms. I’m sure I wore out my welcome at times, but Jack was always hospitable and friendly.

Rest in peace Mr. Rakocy.

John/Jack was a great guy. He was a terrific family man. I'll miss seeing him in the neighborhood.
