Not sure what to say?

Mr. Rast brought so much love and light into the lives of everyone he crossed paths with and the world will forever be a little less bright without him in it. While growing up with my Emily, even as a kid, I could tell how important he was to his family, how much they all loved each other and how deeply he cherished every moment with his two daughters and wife. I'm so sorry and so heartbroken for all of you. I just know that he’s looking down on his beautiful wife, beautiful daughters,...

Lisa and I were fortunate to spend time with John and Terry over the past several years. He was undeniably a stud tennis player but his major accomplishment was his two girls, Emily and Amanda whom he spoke of often and affectionately. Our heartfelt and sincerest condolences on your family's loss. God bless John and the...

We are so sorry for your great loss and pray Gods comfort and peace for the family.

Very sad to hear about John who was a very fine person in many ways. John's life speaks for itself which was a major success starting when he was a young guy in St. Petersburg. Kindness is the word which describes him best. He will be greatly missed.

Laura and I are deeply saddened at your loss, and we walk this journey of grief alongside you all. Please know that our thoughts, love and prayers are with you at this time and always.

I was deeply saddened to learn of John's passing today. Unfortunately, we had lost contact, but he was always one of my favorites. He represented everything one could hope for in a Stanford student-athlete. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Dick Gould ([email protected])

A Great Stanford Zete and National Champion tennis player . You will be missed John!

I am so sorry for your loss of John. I remember him as a very gentle man and soft spoken like his father, my uncle Charlie! Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time and in the days ahead. May the memories comfort you! Janet
