Not sure what to say?

After rereading and reflecting on John, I am reminded of his enormous spirit. No doubt his death left a huge void in many lives. I pray each of you have begun to fill the void his absence creates in a meaningful, positive way. John lives on through your memories of the impact he had on you and John´s message of joy.

This is a very sad, John was a great man he was wonderful to my kids, we shared so many moments of our lives. He'll always be missed! Rest in Peace. XOXO to his all Family

Dear Becky, I had no idea until today. My deepest condolences to you. Margaret Flood

To John's family and dearest friends...I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I knew John from his days in Chicago where we had enjoyed a multitude of activities together. My sister still shows at family gatherings tugging along that dang Elvis pound cake! There is a ton that I could share here but know this...John's star shined so brightly and he will always be one of the most interesting and unique individuals that I will ever have known. Rest in peace Turtler!

I´m so sorry to hear about the loss of John. I just came across his obituary. I worked alongside John at the Milwaukee Road RR. He was one of the nicest guys I ever met.

All of us that knew John, are sharing a great loss. I have many memories of fishing the Mississippi river with brother Ed Raymond III, Ronald Jensen, his brother Roy Jensen and a handful of other mutual friends. Spent the end of the day atop Grandad Bluff, doing what friends do best, enjoying each other's company. You will surely be missed by all who knew him. Save us all a spot on the other side of that Rainbow Bridge. Rest in peace brother. James Hathaway and family.

I spent a lot of time with John, who I met through my sister Sara (Sally), in mid-late 70 's. Played a mean game of scrabble and although I don't play often, I always think of him when I do. Stayed in touch through the occasional card or letter after moving to Oregon, but lost touch as we too often do. Sympathies to the whole family.

Goodbye B-I-L. I smoke a cigar in your honor.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear brother John. I worked for Katie when I was in college at Whitewater back in the early 80s. We became friends and stayed in touch for quite awhile. Your family is delightful. I remember staying at your family home in Racine for a parade. It was full of life. John, rest in peace.
