John Gordon Redmon

John was a fixture at GFA games for many years. He always had a word of encouragement for me to do my best, oh and to win of course. John had a great sense of humor and wit. For years he would offer to buy me a haircut. I will miss his smile.

The day after graduating from high school I went to work for John. It wasn't my first job but it was far and away the hardest work I'd ever done. Oh, John wasn't just supervising me. He was working right beside me. There was no chance of me keeping up...but John encouraged me to give my best effort. What did John teach me? He taught me what real work is. I have been forever grateful to John Redmon for his patience and his grace shown to me. in a very short time he shaped my path.

John Redman in the 80s was the lowest bidder in constructing Academy Road. He went well beyond the requirements of the bid. This street was and still is a blessing to this community. Greenleaf is grateful for this and many other contributions to the city Mayor, Brad Holton.

I have had the privilege to know this family over the years and am aware of the very big part John played in all of his and their successes. He will be missed by not only his family but by the community he has been a part of for many years. Prayers for the family and strength to face the future by honoring John's memory.
