I was very saddened to hear of Jack's passing. I have known jack for around ten years, meeting him at a Hamburg gym and having many conversations with him over the years. Jack was a good man, humble yet passionate about his religious and political beliefs. Although we didn't always agree, we saw the goodness in each other, and Jack was always willing to listen to another point of view. Jack is a cousin who was older than me and I knew him from family gatherings when we were younger. He was always funny, full of life and polite to me as well as anyone. I met Marie when they were first married and would see them if they visited my parents. They were very happy together. I met some of their children as they were growing up.
