So sad to see this John was a friend for so many years. My deep sorrow to Virginia and girls. The Reed family was so important in my younger years all the fun times we had. RIP my dear friend.....

The things I remember most about uncle John are his love of the mountains, his fantastic laugh and the love his grandkids have for him.

Uncle John was not just the last surviving member of original 13 kids of the Reed clan, but also a great story teller. From hopping a Train with his brother Bay as young boys to get coal to keep the family warm, to his time in the Army. I will miss him, but knowing that the Original 13 have been reunited and are probably already together playing Pinochle fills my heart with joy.
