Not sure what to say?

I worked with John years ago and he always made us laugh. John used to walk around the office offering hugs to everyone. You could never be mad at him for long. I will always remember John with a smile on his face and him calling me Jennaflower. May you rest in peace. Give butchie a hug for me.

I have too many hilarious memories of Johnny from our many years together in the Silk & Sounds Band. I pray that he is now at peace, and I will always miss his larger than life sense of humor. Deepest sympathies to the family, and know that Johnny has made so many of us laugh until we nearly cried!

On behalf of National Commander Jim Roberts the prayers of The Sons of The American Legion are with the family as we praise God for the life of this member. May he rest in peace as the fruits of his service to community, state, and nation flourish.

This is very sad news. I was also in the band with John. We called him "Jolly Johnny" because he always made us laugh. He had such a big heart back then, too. He was among the first in our group of friends to drive so always drove us around. He was a great friend in high school. Whenever I go back to Hopewell to visit I wonder where he is. Sincerest condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear about John. We played together in John Jay High School's symphonic band. I'll always remember John for his sense of humor and larger than life smile!
My sincere condolences to the family,
Stacey (Welburn) Mixon

Rest in peace my friend.
