John Joseph Reilly Sr., 49, was a singular man, a quiet force and a constant presence. John's wife, Linda; son, Jack, and daughter, Elsi, comprised his world. Not sure what to say?

I just got word of John's passing. I'm saddened to hear about it and the loss to his family. I can remember our times at the Academy and John was a good man. He ,like many of us, worked hard (and played hard, occassionally). You'll be missed. Life is short, enjoy each other while we are here, because you'll never know when it will all cease to be! Take care.

Linda, Jack and Elsi, our thoughts and prayers are with you. There was no one in flight school who lifted our spirits higher than John. We still laugh thinking about his incredible imitations of the instructors at a class party. A great husband, father, officer and aviator....God bless you all.

Linda,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family. We just found out about John and are so sad. John was such a great guy. He always had a smile and was so positive. I always enjoyed being around John. We are so sorry.

To Linda and the children..

"Reils and I were squadron mates in Hawaii during the late 1980's. A tremendous asset to the wardroom and the junior officer's as a group.. Continually kept 'the big picture' in perspective with his infectious attitude and sense of humor.. Always professional towards his naval duties and those who worked for him.. From the Hempel family, our deepest sympathies and love during this difficult time.. Jim and Katie

I went to high school with John. Very sad he died so young. My deepest sympathies to the entire Reilly family.

John Reilly, a tremendous person, who will be greatly missed. Reils was always there with a smile and encouraging word. The kind of person you enjoyed being around! The world is now...a little less friendly.

With deep admiration & respect,

Craig Lucas USNA 83

John was one of the best colleagues that anyone could have asked to work with. I will always remember his great laugh and infectious smile. You will be missed, Johnny Rocket!

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
