Dear Jack Reilly and family,
You have taught me many ways to look at business and the ship repair industry. I still remember the "can do" spirit you conveyed to me and the folks at the company and how you never accepted failure or obstacles. Your strong presence in the office, out in the shop or onboard the ships made a world of difference to all of your employees.

We are so saddened to hear of Jack's passing. Judy and I are blessed to have two adopted familys. The Reillys adopted us as soon as we arrived in California over 40 years ago. Our famlies have shared so many experiences over the years. Our lives are richer for being with Jack,Janet and their children over the years. Love, Del and Judy

It was very emotional for me to hear of Mr. Reilly passing away. Your entire family means the world to us, espeacially to me. Your Dad was always good to me and I always had the upmost respect for him.
I am very proud of my best friend, Mark, for helping his Mom take care of his Dad. And I know Jack, Matt, Tim, Cathleen, & Susan all are very proud of you too.

Dear Sue and Family....
Even when a loved one is ill, when the end comes, it's a shock, as it was when my husband Ron left us in April. I remember Sue telling of her dad's tattoos - the kids never thought it was unusual - it was Just Dad. I know he was proud of all of you. A life well lived and loved.

Janet and Family,
Mary Ann and I are saddened by the passing of you beloved husband, father and my shipmate during our tour on the USS Claude V. Rickets. Jack was the most knowledgeable Boiler Automatic Combustion Control technician the Navy ever had. I am glad I had an opportunity to visit with Jack for a short time last November in Borego Springs, the visit was short but I am glad I went. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family in your sorrow.

My Mentor, My Dear Friend…
Since our meeting in the 1960/70’s, when we, among many others in the San Diego Waterfront Community worked for Fred Watts at Cal Steel next to the Ole Hitching Post on Main Street. We established a Special Friendship that endured these many years, through the good, the bad and ugly times, I must say that most has been good!!
Yourself along with Joe Clapp and Jim Humphries ventured into the very Competitive Ship Repair Industry by opening Propulsion Controls Engineering (PCE), I’m sure your family can attest to the difficult times at the start-up that you and partners endured. You overcame all adversity that was presented and more, your fearless courage and integrity, made you a Leader among the likes of Harry Fraser, Art Engel, and others who helped shape, mold and politically align the San Diego Ship Repair Community to its present day status. You established the PCE family not only in San Diego but also in Washington State and Hawaii. Your devoted and continuing contributions to our Industry have been tremendously outstanding and we thank you for that.
I am forever grateful my friend, for affording me the opportunity to work for and with you in the PCE family, at a time when my life was a little upside down.
I will always cherish the Friendship we shared together.
