Not sure what to say?

"Uncle Jack" was my great uncle. He was very special to us. I would always recieve cards and things on my birthday from him. He was a great man and will be remembered always in our family. Our family will miss him dearly.

Mona, Kate, Beth and Family,
We are so sorry about "Uncle Jack" We know how special he was to all of you and how loved he truly was. The stories that were told many times of all the great functions he participated in with weddings, baptisms, etc...will always be remembered. He was a very special man that touched many people's lives. You are all in our thoughts and prayers through this very difficult time.

My sympathies to Taree-Leach Junkersfeld and her family.

You are in my thoughts.

My condolences to the Roach family. I grew up hering about the stories of "Jack" and my uncle Robert Schaefer who died in WWII. Archbishop Roach was a wonderful friend to my family, and always remembereed my grandmother, Esther Schaefer at Christmas with a card signed by "Jack". Due in part to our family's relationship with Archbishop Roach, my brother and I both ended up attending STA, even though Archbishop Roach had left there a few years before we started. I also want to extend my...

Father Roach was my second cousin and I remember attending his ordination with my parents and grandparents, Margaret and Peter Dempsey from St. James. He came to St. James for the funeral mass of my grandparents. He was director St. Thomas Academy when I attended Derham Hall. His parents Simon and Mary were very special people and a visit to their home was always special. I was always proud of his vision of the church in a modern world.

I remember Father Roach as "Director of Cadet Affairs" at St. Thomas Military Acaademy in the 50's. He was a tough, firm, fair man. He helped turn a lot of boys into men. Rest In Peace Father, we will all remember and miss you. Tom Cohoon, STMA Class of "55"

Archbishop Roach was always kind and understanding to ex-priests such as myself. I am going to miss him. He was one of the best.

Archbishop Roach was a great friend to my parents, Frank and Patricia Mullaney (both deceased), and his friendship enriched their lives.
