Not sure what to say?

Unfortunately, I did not know John, but I knew his mom, Alora Robbins. I was fresh out of Oberlin and completing a master's degree at Eastman School of Music, and was hired (1969) to teach at Watertown High School. Renee, I'm so very sorry to hear of John's death. I fondly remember my last phone conversation with John about 4 or 5 years ago. John always had great ideas and gladly shared them with others. I am a better person for having known John.

40 years of loving someone makes for a huge loss for our family. Sending big hugs to all of you. And thank you for letting us know about the organizations you'd like people to donate to in memory of John: Planned Parenthood of Ann Arbor, Union of Concerned Scientists, FLOW (For Love Of Water), Huron River Watershed Council

You have my sympathy, Renee!! I miss seeing you in person! I didn't ever meet your husband but having just read the obituary I am impressed by his accomplishments! Condolences to you and your sons and families.

Dear Renee, Marnin, and Joel, I am very saddened to read this news. I remember John's wonderful spirit with his love of music and his love of his family. I hold you all in my thoughts and wish you peace. Linda Etter
