John James "Jack" Rodden

I just came to learn of Jack´s passing. What a wonderful man in every sense. I got to know Jack at Space Systems Loral. He would come by, sit in my office and we would chat for hours. I was so inspired by him. Not only was he a brilliant engineer who worked at the cutting edge of the space industry, but he was truly a wonderful human being, true to universal human values, especially inclusion, hard work, community and being humble. The world needs more people like Jack Rodden.

So sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. He hired me in his department at Lockheed in Sunnyvale, and then he was my boss on the Hubble Space Telescope. He was always a joy to be around, full of great stories. I always enjoyed talking to him. He was never at a loss for words and never dull. Ad Astra, Jack
