Not sure what to say?

Jeanette and Family, So sorry to hear of your lost. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jay was a wonderful person. He gave to all of us a little piece of himself. He continues to live with us and we will cherish his memory.

My sincere condolences to the Rogosich family.
As Victor and I are very old acquaintances, he became my barber when I first entered the shop, and I never had the opportunity to have a haircut by Jay. But I had the privilege and pleasure of sitting next to him in his shop for the last 10 years and enjoying the warmth and friendliness he exuded to all his customers. Jay was a special person - always smiling, always upbeat; as the man said, he was an Evanston institution. He had a...

When I left Bridgeport to attend Northwestern in 2003, I wanted to be reminded of home. Jay's Barber Shop offered me just that. Every time I walked in and sat in Jay's chair over the next four years, I always felt comfortable and knew the time I spent there would be well worth it.

When you were with Jay, you always had a great friend. The haircut was a bonus.

My condolences to the Rogosich family.

Jeanette,
Sorry for your loss. I had alot of laughs with Jay while growing up. I'll miss him. Just found out about his passing and sorry to have missed the wake. Take care of yourself and think of the good times.

deepest condolences, Timothy Grzenia

I was one of Jay's customers at the barber shop for the last 6 years. Jay was a great man, always cheerful and full of life and energy. We will miss him in Evanston. He was an institution and an inspiration. He always had a smile and a joke for us all

I will pray for Jeanette and his family and try to learn what he was here to teach me. We wish his family all the best

Jeanette, Cheri and My Dearest Johnny,

I am so sorry you have to endure this pain. Your husband and dad was a great guy. He will always be with you, right by your side to guide you always. I will be forever greatful for all the things he did for my sons, Joey and Vito. Jay was there PaPa and they have wonderful memories with him. He (and all of you) are angels. He had a contagious smile. My prayers are with you all.

Love you,
Laura Mlinarcik

When I moved from E. Peoria to Evanston in order to teach at New Trier in 1964, I walked down the alley from my condo to start an association with "Jay" Rogosich. That relationship continued for almost 47 years at Jay's Barber Shop. It's extremely painful to think that relationship has ended.
Jay made appointments possible, he always had a big smile and cheery voice when I entered the door. I encourage many of my New Trier colleagues to know Jay, his sense of humor, his chatter...
