Rev. John E. Rohrbaugh

I just learned of this sad news. Rev. Rohrbaugh and I have been side by side during Veterans Day, Memorial Day and special services for the RG&E Armed Forces Club for over 30 Years. My condolences to the Rohrbaugh family and thanks for many good years at Transfiguration. It seems like last week, but the march of time is rapid.

My family remains active in the Lutheran church and my son was confirmed last year - a testament to the lasting impact of the many people who worked with us over the years.

My brother and I have many fond memories from our childhood of Pastor and his family. I am sure that he is with our Lord and smiling down at all of us. His life is one that needs to be celebrated. My sympathy on the passing of Pastor Rohrbaugh. My memories of him go back 30 years when I was in college and helping out with Confirmation Camp at Vanderkamp. He got up early every morning to go fishing. The kids had trouble pronouncing "Rohrbaugh" so he became known as "Pastor Rowboat." He was always so friendly whenever I met him in the years following for Conference or Synod events. May God give you peace and comfort as you celebrate his life.
