I knew your father thru my aunt, who lived in the same building. I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. John Rose was such a nice man. He would quite often come into my family's restaurant and we would talk about his law practice and lend practical advice, as I am a law student. His eyes would just light up when he started talking about his passions in lfe. He was a very nice man, who will always be remembered. Sincerely, Maura

John and Chris, I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was a good and descent man and a good uncle. I could always count on his kind words and helpful counsel. I am sorry I cannot be there but I just found out today and it is too short notice for me.
You and your families are in my prayers.
Love,
your cousin John and Family

John was one of the irreplaceable friends from our youth. We went to the same neighborhood schools in East Boston, from first grade through high school. The photo is from 1945, when we were in the 7th grade at the Barnes School.
Our condolences to all in his family.
