Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies go out to Stephen, Michael, David and their mother. My condolences also to the friends snd relatives of Mr. Rose I never had the privilege to meet. I regret that I never learned in Mr. Rose's interest in mathematics and his role in Fortran, as I have had a considerable interest in both.

Jack Rose lived the kind of life St. Paul advocated for the true Christian. I admired his intelligence greatly, but more so his high moral code (without demeaning anyone who did not--Jack was the opposite of stuffy). I was sorry to learn of his untimely demise; and the world is a poorer place without him. I am sure his fellow church members will miss him greatly. Doug Westendorf, former law partner of Jack

A tremendous life, a servant of God and of his fellow man. He is with the angels now. R.I.P. fellow Bearcat, fellow Barrister, fellow child of God. Jim Christy, Reston, VA, formerly of Cincinnati.

Liz & Family,

I'm so sorry to hear of Jack's death. I remember him always with a smile and quiet strength and wisdom. I am so happy to hear he followed a path true to his heart in his final decades.

My thoughts are with you all today.

Love,

Shawn Rudy

Jack Rose was a gentleman and scholar. He served MAN through his work as a lawyer and served GOD through his work in the Episcopal Church. He had a steadfast devotion to both. He possessed a dry and trenchant wit. Probably the highlight of his life was the day that he baptized his grandchild at Calvary Episcopal Church. One could almost hear a pin drop during that beautiful service. May God grant him peace and rest eternal.

I clicked on this, because I thought this might be the father of a lady I go to church with. It isn't, but I'm glad I continued reading. I would have liked to have met your dad. I'm sorry for your loss. He is having a wonderful time in heaven. Connie Fix (Fairfield, OH)
