Dear Mike and family, I am so very sorry to read of your Father's passing. He was such an honorable man and so dedicated to the Galewood community for so many years. I came to Galewood in 1949 and remain here and he was always so caring and generous. He has left a wonderful legacy in his children and I know he was very proud of you all. God bless you and may prayer lift you in spirit. My deepest condolences.

I so remember our parents, Bob and Merriam, taking us faithfully every year for new school shoes. I can still smell the shoe leather, see the stacks of shoe boxes to the ceiling and the huge windows in front with all the shoes displayed. Mr. Rose always measured our feet and Mr. Rose, Sr. always repairing shoes. Fascinated me. Both Mr. Roses' being quality gentlemen. On behalf of the Dr. Robert & Merriam Streelman family (Ric, Robin, Jeff, Steve), we are so sorry for your loss.

We went to Rose's shoe store every year when we were kids. Loved the smell of leather. Rest in peace.
