Not sure what to say?

John had a wonderful impact on so many students. I felt he had an impact beyond the classroom.

mr.Rowan was a very great teacher and coach, happy to have him as my coach and teacher may he R.I.P. never be forgotten

My heart just broke a little more when I just learned that the greatest teacher I have ever known and one of the best father figures and mentors anyone could have known, went on to be with The Lord in March. I had been hoping that my brothers Ronnie and Andy and I would be able to revisit him at his home this summer, as we had several years ago. That's how much of an impact Mr. Rowan made: that a student from his class of '67, who felt truly honored to be selected to run the candy store at...

My Cross County coach from Feaser Jr. High to High School. I learned life lessons from Mr. Rowan that I carry with me today. Thank you coach, your zest for life and you compassion for others will live on in those that you coached, taught and touched. Rest in Peace.

My condolences to Mrs. Rowan and family, Coach Rowan was my Cross Country and Track coach from Jr High through high school. He was not only a fierce competitor but a great teacher and mentor. I never liked running up the hill behind the pool and the hill at the High School, but there was a good reason for it, made us better. I especially miss the discipline that he taught us and his yellow cars. Coach was a true Blue Raider and will be missed.
RIP Coach

My condolences to Mrs. Rowan and family. Mr. Rowan was a wonderful teacher and motivator. My experience in 4th grade at Mansberger Elementary School was one of the best in my life. I looked forward to my 4th grade year with Mr. Rowan and hated leaving that school to attend another. It would be wonderful to relive that year. I still refer to that year from my childhood as the very best. Mr. Rowan made school a breeze. He invested so much time in his students to help us all succeed. He...

These are the things that I remember about Mr. Rowan: Coaching the 7th and 8th grade basketball team with at least 20 teenagers on the team(try to do that)! Taking his own money and taking the team to Hershey Arena to see either the Harlem Globetrotters or seeing Wilt score a 100! Organizing the Grandview Elementary School Intramural Basketball League with games during lunch and posting the statistics for all to see(couldn't wait to be in 6th grade to take part in the league)! Being a SR in...

Jackie, You have my deepest condolences. I know how much you loved your husband. He is now home with the Lord. I'll miss John in church and his prayers. Praying that God will give you peace at this difficult time. Love you, Cyndi Garland
