Not sure what to say?

John was an inspirational man,who commanded great respect, taught about doing the right thing,I think John invented that concept!...He was genuine and sincere, caring, and in the High School Assemblies,it was absolutely just captivating to listen to him express himself, and listen to his words of wisdom,no matter how old you were, you felt like John was talking to you directly one on one, when he would take the microphone and speak to hundreds of people ages 12 years old to ages 65 plus,he had a ...

Coach, You made a huge difference in our 1966 Coughlin Wyoming Valley Conference Championship.. thanks for the memories... Mike Lowery

Please accept my deepest condolences. John was a well respected gentleman and football coach who was always willing to share his knowledge of education and coaching. He will be missed.

Great coach. Great friend. Great deer hunter.

I was sad to hear of John's passing. He was great coach, competitor and teacher. His teams were always well coached and tough. We had many tough, physical games and a rivalry that brought out the best in both teams. John was always a class act.

Mr. Rowlands You were such an inspiration to so many "young people", (as he would call us in class.) You really hold a special place in so many hearts. A true son of the blue and grey.

The definition of a mam's man. The man I had come to respect the most. Never played a down for him and yet he treated me like I was his MVP. He was much more than a coach, much more than a teacher ! May the fish be biting and bucks be monsters!

All I could say is mr Rowlands was a very good man.the best of the best.rest in peace me.rowlands

Rest Easy Coach.
