First of all, my condolences to the family of John. We both attended W.C. Bryant and SWHS. We were the last 8th grade class to go through Southwest. John and I were acquainted and friendly. But did not hang out together throughout school. I'd like to share a vignette of 2 events where John and I were involved. Knew John through grade school and high school. Can call him a friend. We grew apart but reconnected at our HS reunions. A caring soul. Will be missed

In addition to having grown up at the Barstow School with Madame Rush, Cathy and Richard, as an adult with my own family, we were Cherry St. neighbors of John's and his young family.
