John was my mentor and my friend. In the early days of knowing John at NBC I was always "the punk kid' to him.
A Moniker I knew came from a man who deeply cared about helping young people in the profession he so dearly loved.
I stayed in contact with John through the years and came to know a different John. The John that came from "The Greatest Generation".
John's life was devoted to selfishness and helping others. I owe him and his memory much.
